PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $100,900.00-$123,200.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $78,400.00 - $145,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As a Systems Analyst (SA) at BECU, you will collaborate with leaders and engineering teams to transform user requirements into actionable system designs. Your role will involve fine-tuning requirements, developing detailed design specifications, and proposing innovative solutions. With your expertise, you’ll keep the team informed of technological developments and play an integral role in creating system models that align with business goals. Your work will support the development of efficient, scalable systems that contribute to BECU’s success.

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you call any of these states home, you're in luck! We offer the flexibility of remote work for residents in these locations, allowing you to contribute from the comfort of your own home.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Create and Support Business Cases: Contribute to developing product/program business cases, identify value and outcomes, and propose technology solutions focused on minimizing technical debt and meeting compliance.

  • Collaborate on Requirements: Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to document roadmaps, sprint goals, and user stories. Lead workshops to capture, document, and refine user requirements and functional specifications.

  • Manage Backlog and Sprint Execution: Work with the Product Owner on backlog management, story creation, and refinement. Support the delivery team through the entire lifecycle of the sprint.

  • Analyze and Document Requirements: Refine requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals.

  • Coordinate with Vendors: Translate functional specifications for vendors, oversee their deliveries, and maintain effective vendor relationships.

  • Address Technical and Infrastructure Needs: Collaborate with IT experts to support and align business, technical, and infrastructure solutions.

  • Oversee Testing and Debugging: Guide the refinement of technical solutions, oversee test plans, and support issue resolution during testing phases.

  • Manage Application Installations and Upgrades: Lead the installation and configuration of patches, releases, and enhancements while adhering to IT Change Control guidelines. Develop disaster recovery plans for applications and services.

  • Support Roadmap Prioritization: Work with business units to document and prioritize objectives, ensuring alignment with broader product roadmaps.

  • Lead Impact Analysis: Guide teams to identify the people, process, and system impacts for programs of all sizes.

  • Oversee Product Lifecycle Management: Support application administration, configuration, and lifecycle roadmaps, including performance monitoring and proposing necessary adjustments.

  • Ensure Communication and Issue Resolution: Act as a liaison between end-users, vendors, and IT departments to resolve production and development environment issues.

  • Manage Cybersecurity Practices: Ensure cybersecurity practices and policies are adhered to within program portfolios.

  • Document Technical Changes: Create and update technical documentation as needed to reflect software updates and changes.

  • Facilitate Technical Reviews and Demos: Lead technical walk-throughs and demos for development and business stakeholders.

  • Optimize Systems Proactively: Configure systems based on business needs and ensure ongoing optimization.

  • Develop Requirements and Architecture: Lead the creation of system specifications, functional requirements, and architecture documentation.

  • Prepare Documentation and Training Materials: Develop user manuals, technical handouts, and operational manuals for deployed applications.

  • Mentor Team Members: Guide and support less experienced team members, enhancing their knowledge of systems and tools.

  • Adapt and Perform Additional Duties: Be flexible and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with business software applications.

  • Understanding of Cloud Computing theory and practice.

  • Proficiency with multiple change methodologies (Agile, Lean, TDD, Waterfall) and their appropriate application.

  • Experience supporting and delivering the full system development lifecycle (SDLC), including user story creation, test planning, execution, CICD pipeline support, and production issue resolution.

  • Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts, including various data analysis and validation methods.

  • Ability to manage solutions across different programming languages and environments.

  • Understanding of software engineering terms and data architecture, with experience using tools like Azure DevOps and JIRA.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field.

  • Experience with tools like Splunk and AppDynamics.

  • Experience creating and presenting Business Cases, including financial and risk analysis.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement projects in line with BECU and industry standards.

  • Demonstrated awareness of trends and developments affecting the IT industry.

  • Experience supporting on-call responsibilities for non-business hours.

  • Proficiency in creating user manuals and training documentation.
