BECU Cybersecurity Administrator in Remote, South Carolina

PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $100,900.00-$123,200.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $78,400.00 - $145,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. As a Cybersecurity Administrator at BECU, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure our security systems operate seamlessly while detecting and addressing potential vulnerabilities. By implementing cutting-edge cybersecurity measures and collaborating with teams across the organization, you will protect sensitive information, enable secure operations, and contribute to BECU’s mission of serving its members with trust and confidence. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Safeguard Operations : Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems to ensure the protection of BECU’s digital infrastructure.

  • Implement Security Measures : Configure systems to detect and respond to potential indicators of compromise, keeping our network resilient against threats.

  • Conduct Forensic Investigations : Perform first-level forensic analysis on incidents to identify root causes and bolster defenses.

  • Optimize Firewall Security : Regularly review and update firewall rules to ensure adherence to security protocols.

  • Manage Vulnerabilities : Develop and maintain a vulnerability management program to proactively identify and address risks.

  • Collaborate on Upgrades : Execute system upgrades, certificate renewals, and other routine maintenance tasks to enhance cybersecurity tools.

  • Enhance User Knowledge : Train team members and create accessible resources to improve cybersecurity awareness across the organization.

  • Escalate Critical Alerts : Act as the primary escalation point for addressing alerts, threats, and incidents identified by cybersecurity systems.

  • Support Security Projects : Collaborate with the cyber engineering team to execute security-related projects that align with BECU’s strategic goals.

  • Stay Prepared : Be available on an on-call basis to address emerging issues, ensuring continuous protection during non-business hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Business Information Systems, or equivalent work or educational experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in information security.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Sec+, Azure, ServiceNow, or equivalent certifications.

  • Experience with ticketing systems and networking certifications.

  • Experience in analyzing and communicating risks.

  • Experience in cybersecurity technologies and methodologies.

  • Experience in cloud and on-premises networking environments.

  • Knowledge of information security planning techniques, technologies, and risk analysis methods.

  • Knowledge of cloud and on-premises networking environments

  • Experience in evaluating risk and communicating it in a fact-based manner.

  • Intermediate conceptual, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
