PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $162,600.00-$198,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $126,000.00 - $235,100.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:
As a Sr Enterprise Architect at BECU, you will shape the future of technology by crafting and guiding long-term architecture roadmaps that align with business needs and optimize technology investments. Working closely with executive and strategic leaders, you’ll drive alignment between business and technology, clarify strategic objectives, and assess risks and opportunities to ensure BECU’s architecture supports its growth. Your insights and guidance will foster organizational change and enable business outcomes through well-designed solutions that respond to disruptive forces and build toward future capabilities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Develop and Maintain Technical Blueprints: Create detailed solution blueprints that align Technology services with business objectives, weighing both technical and non-technical trade-offs.
Craft and Communicate Roadmaps: Lead the creation and maintenance of technology roadmaps for assigned areas, working with business and Technology partners to ensure alignment with business value and technical soundness.
Establish Architecture Standards: Define and enforce architecture standards, processes, and constraints that guide technology solutions across BECU.
Mentor and Guide Technical Teams: Provide expertise, mentorship, and guidance to technical teams across multiple disciplines, promoting a clear understanding of architecture value and strategic direction.
Create Business Solution Blueprints: Develop blueprints that support the implementation of business solutions, guiding technical teams to ensure solutions are in line with business and technology roadmaps.
Collaborate on Production Support: Work with production support teams to resolve domain-specific architecture issues and address architectural design debt.
Provide Financial and Technical Analysis: Offer insights on financial and technological considerations, helping Tech leadership foster an enterprise-wide understanding of architecture standards.
Recommend Third-Party Software Solutions: Proactively review and advise on third-party software platforms that best meet organizational needs.
Understand Business Goals and Models: Collaborate with business units to understand end-state models, including strategies, offerings, and structure, and identify core capabilities and processes.
Monitor Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry developments and lead discussions to identify and implement solutions that deliver long-term business value.
Mentor Peers in Best Practices: Guide engineers and other technology peers on best practices in enterprise architecture to drive innovation and technical excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 7 years of experience in designing and implementing technology architectures, including leading multiple complex projects.
Minimum of 5 years in a project lead role, managing or advising project teams.
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field.
Certification in LEAN, Agile/Scrum, or ITIL, with implementation experience.
Knowledge of technologies and supplier capabilities, with experience integrating them into large infrastructure systems.
Knowledge of modern technology service architecture hosting, security, and risk management, including IAM, access control, monitoring, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, and containers.
Familiarity with Microsoft infrastructure and solution stacks across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
